A campaign for everyone starts with a site for everyone.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time task.

What we do

• Structure every page with headings, landmarks and a “Skip to main content” link, so screen reader and keyboard users can move around quickly.
• Make links, buttons, menus and forms work with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
• Describe meaningful images with alternative text and hide decorative ones from screen readers.
• Choose text and background colors that meet WCAG AA contrast.
• Give every form field a visible label and show messages in text when something goes wrong.
• Respect your device’s reduced-motion setting: animations are turned off and the home page video stays still.
• Offer the site in English, Spanish, Hmong and French.

Known limitations

• The Spanish, Hmong and French versions are drafts awaiting review by fluent speakers. If something is unclear, the English version is the reference.
• The home page background video does not have a pause button yet. It carries no information you would miss, and it does not play when your device asks for reduced motion.
• Donations are handled on ActBlue, and Kaleem’s social media pages are hosted by LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. We do not control the accessibility of those sites.
